From the U.S. Census Bureau, FactFinder lets you zero in on a particular town, zip code, or "census tract"-- which might allow you to look at data for a neighborhood more accurately than zip code or city name.

This tool allows you to find what constitutes a "living wage" or "poverty wage" for various family configurations in different states and counties. It also provides typical wages for various occupations in those regions.

Legal cases

To find legal cases and opinions, do a search in Google Scholar. At the top of the results lists is a green bar with a drop-down menu. Change from "Articles and Patents" to "Legal Opinions and Journals." Depending on your search, you may be able to further limit your results to federal or state cases.

Search for scholarly materials online using the friendly Google search box. Many articles may be available through Reeves; check Full Text Finder to find out if we subscribe. Interlibrary loan is available for items not in our holdings.
