Postcolonial Literary Criticism

Postcolonial literary criticism focuses on studying literature from the lens of postcolonial theory to examine issues of colonization, empire, decolonization, "othering," self, hybridity, and much more. This field of criticism considers a multitude of factors such as economic class, culture, race, gender, and religion to study the effects of the colonizers on the colonized. 

This LibGuide serves as a starting point for understanding how to approach literature as a postcolonial critic.
