Reeves Library Research Awards

Submission checklist:

__ 250-500 word project introduction

__ Project file OR project link, as applicable

__ Separate bibliography, IF one is not already included in the project

__ Faculty recommendation

Application form

In order for a project to be considered, your completed application form must include a 250-500 word introduction to your research project. This introduction should briefly present the subject of your research and the project's presentation format; it should also discuss your experience with the research process for this project.

You may wish to discuss what methods you chose, how you adapted your research strategies as you progressed, how you evaluated your sources, and/or what you have learned about the research process. Please do not simply give a list of databases or other research tools; we are interested in how you engaged with the tools, not simply in which ones you chose.

Getting faculty sponsorship

It is usually best to get your faculty recommendation from the instructor for whose class you did the project. If this is not possible, your advisor may submit the recommendation for your work.

The award committee does not contact faculty and ask them to recommend your work; you are responsible for contacting the instructor and requesting their recommendation.
