Model United Nations - Mauritania

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania (RIM) is located in sub-Saharan West Africa between the 15th and 27th degrees of north latitude and the 5th and 17th degrees of western longitude.  Mauritania is a pivotal country between West Africa, The Maghreb and the Sahara.   It is limited by the Republic of Senegal to the South West, Mali to the South East and East, Algeria to the North East and Western Sahara to the North West.   In the West, Mauritania is limited by the Atlantic Ocean and its coastline extends for nearly 600 kilometers.
