The Australian Women’s and Gender Studies Association (AWGSA) is the peak body representing researchers, academics and students of Women’s Studies and Gender Studies in Australia.
This organization "has as one of its primary objectives promoting and supporting the production and dissemination of knowledge about women and gender through teaching, learning, research and service in academic and other settings."
Founded in 1998 as an outgrowth of the Sixth Conference on Rural and Farm Women in Historical Perspective, the Rural Women's Studies Association is an international association for the advancement and promotion of farm and rural women's gender studies in historical perspective.
