Project Gutenberg offers free digital copies of many "classics" and other out-of-copyright books. These ebooks are free in the United States because their copyright has expired. They may not be free of copyright in other countries. Readers outside of the United States must check the copyright laws of their countries before downloading or redistributing these ebooks.
1982-2004, includes almost 2,000 books from academic presses. Access to the entire collection of electronic books is open to all University of California faculty, staff, and students. More than 700 of the titles are available to the public.
