Sources listed in this guide can be accessed by using the links. However, you may also find open access sources in some of our databases. Links will be found in WorldCat Discovery and in some of the databases for which we have a subscription. When this happens, there will sometime be a direct link embedded in the entry. However, because these are Open Access the link may not work perfectly. Here are some things you may find:
1. The link works perfectly and takes you directly to the book or article that you are seeking.
2. The link takes you to a publisher or organizational website and you must take some additional steps. When this happens, note the title of the book or article that you are seeking along with other identifying information such as date, volume, author, etc. Usually the web site will have a search box and you can conduct a search that will quickly take you to the item that you are seeking. If this is not the case, contact a librarian and we may be able to help you with the search.
3. The link gives you an error message. In that case, please contact the library. Because Open Access resources are free, we have little control over availability. We may be able to provide a corrected link or if the site is truly nonexistent, we can delete it from this LibGuide or notify the source database that this should be updated.
